There, not far, I see Happiness,
Her radiant smile warming up my soul,
Her beckoning arms offering me all,
Promises, Promises, my lifetime desires,
She holds in Her palms, like a million stars,
Lighting up the darkest abyss of my heart;
Joy so profound Her nearness brings,
Hope, buds & blooms in my every cell,
Dancing & singing She calls my name,
There! not far, I see Happiness.
I beg , beg the world; Unlock-
Unlock the fetters that bind my feet,
Unload this weight off my shoulder,
Waited tables, while the whole world feasts;
On my weary bones & tired limbs;
Washed, cleaned , moped & cooked-
But never to feel my tummy full..
My voice is not heard, for a thousand miles,
Scattered around like fallen leaves;
Time steps ahead, I stand helpless,
Watching my Happiness …gently pass me by.
There is no sight more sad & tragic than Child Labour. Dedicated to all those innocent tiny hearts & freedom hungry eyes…..
